Safe Steps – Family Violence Response Centre

24/7 for anyone who is experiencing or afraid of family violence

Safe Steps is a 24/7 specialist support service, based in Victoria, for anyone who is experiencing or afraid of family violence.

Their vision is to provide safety, support and respect for all victims/survivors of domestic and family violence.

They assist victims/survivors to access information/referrals, crisis response, family safety risk assessment, safety planning and access to supported crisis accommodation.

They also provide specialist trauma counselling on behalf of the national sexual assault, domestic and family violence counselling service 1800 RESPECT.

As you can imagine, there has been a significant surge in demand on service providers such as Safe Steps particularly during COVID-19 and the many lockdowns which have added to already volatile home lives or situations.

There are many ways that you can assist Safe Steps to continue their important work even during these tough times.

You can donate money through their website, set up a monthly donation, fundraise with your workplace or donate gift cards.

Proteus Leadership has donated 10 x $100 gift cards to be distributed to empower victims to purchase items they may need for themselves, and their children.
