Put it out there!

The reason most people do not achieve the things they want to achieve is because they simply do not put it out there.

By putting it out there I mean, moving it from our mind and just something we would like to do, to communicating the idea and speaking and acting like it has already happened.

Proteus is about to turn 21 years of age on 9^th April and I can remember right from infancy the things that I was told I could not do and the many times that people told me Proteus would never last. Well not only have we lasted but we are now a dynamic force within our industry helping to change the face of education across Australia.

Why?

Well I am sure there is a level of pig-headedness involved, but the main reason is that I learned very early on, that you must put your plans out into the environment you are working in; your ideas, your beliefs and your dreams, because only then do they have a chance of coming to pass.

You see, unless we do, the people that could help us, or give us support and direction, will never know that they need to. And did you also know, that those very people are right there in front of you, wanting to help you succeed, but you never gave them the chance?

So often we believe that some superstar is going to come along and save us and give us the answers we need – but they usually never arrive. The fact is, that those superstars are right there in front of you. They are not wearing a cape or a costume, but they are just everyday people like you and me.

But how can they support you if you will not tell them what you want or what you believe in. I have heard so many people complain about the fact that no one cares or gives them any support and in most cases it is because their ideas have never moved from their heads. People support those that believe in themselves, show passion and give it a go!

So, what is your idea? Have you shared it with anyone yet? Have you sold the idea to them in such a way that they can see you really believe it will happen, if not, then you will have to continue to go it alone – and that is hard work!

Put it out there and see what happens!

Even if your idea changes, or you decide to head in a different direction, you will never know what is possible, or what is right, unless you put it out there.

So look out atmosphere, there are thousands of ideas and dreams coming your way – I hope!
