Hi everyone,
This week I will celebrate 29 years since I stepped out and launched Proteus Leadership (9th April 1993).
What an amazing privilege it has been to plant and grow this incredible company. I have to stop and pinch myself sometimes, that with my team we were given the opportunity to inspire thousands of leaders across the nation from Emerging Leaders to Executives, to Entrepreneurs, Academics and Politicians alike.
I can remember when I started, I had the biggest ‘Imposter Syndrome’ you could ever have. I used to ask myself, “why would anyone listen to me,” but they did, so I kept going. Now, 29 years later we have a national/international company that inspires thousands of leaders across the globe. But the exciting thing is - we have only just started.
In 2022 we are looking at expanding our team, our programs, our locations, and our Growth Mindset has never been more alive.
One of the greatest lessons I have learned over this period is to just do what you do with the right intention and recognise that what you say and do will hit the spot that it is meant to hit, even if some people don’t like it.
We are all living in a very exciting and challenging world right now. Things have changed, but the way we will prosper is to look at the new opportunities that have opened up, rather than dwell on what used to be.
I want to thank every one of our amazing Proteus team and our wonderful clients who have stuck with us through thick and thin. Some have been with us for the whole journey, and we can’t wait to celebrate thirty years with you in 2023. I think thirty years deserves a party!

Congratulations to Des Penny, Co-CEO for 29 years at Proteus. Also, to Pete Guiney – National Events Manager for 5 years and to Grant Davis – GM Education & Coaching for 4 years. congratulations to all concerned.
Last week the Marketing and Development Team spent two days in Sunshine Beach, QLD to develop our strategy for the next 12 months. The extra-curricular activities like fishing were a great hit.
This week Brett Hutchinson – Regional Leader SA/WA travelled to Victoria to work with the team at Latrobe City Council.
