While I am writing this email, VIC & NSW are in lockdown and looking to extend, while other parts of the country have an array of restrictions. The stress on individuals and on businesses right across the country is at an all-time high and many have pivoted so much that it now hurts.
As much as we might be sick of hearing this, it will get better, and we need to make sure that right now we are looking after ourselves and supporting others, rather than looking for blame.
So, to everyone in NSW & VIC especially, we send our thoughts and support to you as you go through possibly one of the toughest lockdowns you have had thus far.
The most important thing is to keep your mind active and positive by being innovative even in your day-to-day activities. This can be a great time of growth if we are looking for it.
At Proteus, albeit currently working from home, we are increasing our Virtual offerings so that people can engage in relevant and inspirational learning while they have some down time. Visit our website and see what is of interest to you.
But above all, keep your spirits up and if you can’t, then make sure you turn to your support network, because one day they will require the same of you.

We would like to congratulate Ben Smith from our QLD/NSW office for his appointment to the role of Corporate Services Manager at Proteus Leadership. Ben has been with Proteus for over 4 years and has done an exceptional job in his role as Sales/Client Service Coordinator. No-one deserves this appointment more than Ben, so we congratulate him and wish him well.
With the current changes to COVID-19 restrictions we have had to move quickly to make changes to some of our face-to-face programs. Here are the current changes:
Grant Davis – Head of Education, visited Melbourne from Adelaide to work with the team from Oji. Unfortunately, he had to bail during Day 1 as the Victorian Government ordered a Snap Lockdown almost immediately. With a delayed flight and then 3 hours at the testing sight at Adelaide airport and then isolation until he got his result back (all clear), it was quite a trip. How doing the simple things that we have done for 28 years, have changed? Thanks Grant.
Brett Hutchinson - Regional Leader SA/WA, does the road trip to Port Pirie. Another very successful Leading People and Culture session for the region.
